Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFC Champs to play on their own turf for the Super Bowl LV title

And the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are Super Bowl bound. The Buccaneers defeated the Green Bay Packers, 31 to 26 this past Sunday January 24, 2021 in the NFC Championship Game at Lambeau Field In Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Bucs will be the first home team to play in the Super Bowl in their own home stadium where all their home games are played. They will play against the AFC Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs who defeated the Buffalo Bills 38 to 24, at the decisive 55th Super Bowl game. The game will be televised live on Sunday, February 7 directly from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. 

It's the Buccaneers second time playing in the Super Bowl. Of the two games, they won Super Bowl XXXVII January 26, 2003 against the Oakland Raiders. They made to the 2020 playoffs as number five in the NFC. If the Bucs win Super Bowl LV, they will be the fourth team to win after entering the postseason with three straight road match ups. 

The excitement of the Tampa Bay fans was evident as fans swarmed the outskirts of Raymond James Stadium immediately after their home team's win and made presence to receive the players at their arrival at Tampa International Airport. To mention, the Buccaneers had requested fans to abide CDC regulations due to Covid-19 and stay home instead.
